e-VERSE open
On June 17, 2022, the digital cafe & academy “e-VERSE” equipped with the e-sports competition function will open in the commercial complex “Akafoo Park” in Kamiooka, Konan-ku, Yokohama. In the digital classroom area, digital classrooms such as programming classrooms for kids and drone classrooms are always open.
The origin of the name “e-VERSE” represents the fusion of three “e” esports, Education, and Entertainment, and “VERSE” is a virtual reality and its services built on the Internet. The origin of the word is “Metaverse” which means “Metaverse”. The idea is to provide an exciting digital experience that includes everything from “playing, learning, and gathering with DX.”
In addition to holding e-sports competitions and events, e-VERSE provides a community space with a cafe where everyone can relax while feeling the sophisticated digital space on normal business days other than the event dates. You can easily enjoy eating and drinking for remote workers, students, families, kids, and seniors.
In the digital classroom area “e-VERSE Academy”, digital classrooms such as programming classrooms for kids, smartphone classrooms for seniors, and drone classrooms are always open. A trial course has already been held since April 2022. We plan to continue expanding digital courses such as e-sports classes and metaverse classes.
When holding an “e-sports” event, it functions as a cafe and bar where you can enjoy public viewing with a 160-inch LED vision monitor. Power strips are installed in all seats, so you can enjoy games while connecting your laptop or device, and you can also use it as a work or learning space.
At the time of the grand opening of e-VERSE, NTT Te-Sports and NTT East Kanagawa Division fully backed up the environment construction of communication lines and equipment in the facility. We selected, designed, and constructed high-quality communication lines that allow you to comfortably enjoy e-sports and programming, as well as equipment for sound and distribution environments.
