United Airlines x Animal Crossing collab
United Airlines has released “United Kokuu Island (Jima)” to the public in the Nintendo Switch game “Animal Crossing: New Clothes Forest”. Guam, a resort area, is also reproduced on an island where you can virtually experience air travel by United Airlines.
“United Kokushima” is produced by United Airlines staff in the Japanese area. It was announced for the purpose of announcing the company’s services and future efforts while it was not possible to travel abroad due to the corona virus.
The island consists of three main areas. Visitors will be greeted by two characters, a United Airlines captain and a flight attendant. The design of the island is based on the motif of an airplane flying between clouds. In the “Guam area”, you can enjoy beautiful beaches and famous night markets.

1. United Airlines Travel Experience Area
The area itself is in the shape of an airplane, where you can board the airplane from check-in at the airport, sit in your seat or take a photo in the cockpit. The uniforms of pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew members are also on display. You can try it on from My Design and take a picture, or take the uniform as a souvenir.
2. United Airlines’ social enterprise activity exhibition area
Some of United Airlines’ social enterprise activities for the future are on display. An airplane operated using SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) 100% for one engine is exhibited. Also on display is the supersonic passenger aircraft “Overture,” which can be operated using 100% SAF from the first day of operation. Created a pride flag area that symbolizes the activities of LGBTQ +. I also make a pride color T-shirt that designed “United Kokuu Island” by my design.
3. Destination area (Guam)
You can have a virtual experience of the popular beach resort “Guam”. You can enjoy beautiful beaches, night markets famous for Guam, stone ruins reminiscent of Latte Stone, and the rich nature of Guam including waterfalls.
The release period of “United Kokuu Island” is until March 31, 2022 (Thursday). It is said that extension of the period is being considered depending on the response.
